my nutty brother

It has been a dream of his for a while, and it's now complete.  My little bro just bought this bike and cut his life expectancy in half.  look out hells angels!

Heavy Industries

The Heavy Industries folks have some neat stuff they are Young Hae-Chang and Marc Voge based in Seoul, Korea...this post is for a class presentation.

Someone gave my DAD a website!

My dad just created a new website, or had someone create it for him, I'm not even sure he can find it.  Anyway, here it is.

Wake up sleepy head...

I saw this little guy a long time ago and only recently remembered when I saw it on MoCo Loco.  It's called Clocky and its made by Nanda.  For all of you who struggle to get up in the morning, this alarm clock will blare its obnoxious noise once, then jump off your bedside table and run around your bedroom yelling and screaming until you come find it and shut it off.  OR drop it off in the public library and have yourself a jolly good time watching old librarians run around trying to catch it!

Arf Arf Arf

Stole this right off the Complex blog but hey, its good shit.  Complex got it from The Wooster Collective website.

These artists reshape plastic bags into animals and tie them to the subway vents.  When the train comes through they come to life.  A good idea, hopefully our friends at Ready, Willing & Able will realize they are art.

Charles Sainty, keep an eye out...

My good friend Charles Sainty has a show this weekend at the Hotel Chelsea and has been coming up with a lot of creative stuff recently, here's a small sample and check out the rest on his website.

New York Auto Show

Auto show in NYC this year was a bit of a disappointment.  I haven't been in a few years and was sorry to see so few new things going on at this years show.  Either way, got some good pictures, here are just a couple, I may post more when my internet starts working better.

Cai Guo-Qiang at the Guggenheim

It was a pretty cool show at the Guggenheim, this guy is one of my favorite artists and it was great to see his work in person.  I would have had more pictures but the security guards were working hard to stop anyone from documenting the pieces, so don't tell anyone!  check out the artist's website too.

my poor car

while I'm uploading mobile photos, here's one of my poor car before I left Boulder...fuckin' lemon.

London Souls doin what they do best.

Man these celly photos are barely worth it, but I keep forgetting my camera so what can I do...The London Souls were goin' hard the other night, I can't say when though...

Dia Beacon

Went to Dia Beacon yesterday which is an incredible facility, this is the only photo I got, and I got yelled at for it.  But the light on these Richard Serra sculptures was pretty cool.  P.S.  Thats pops standing there.

Random Google searching does the body good

I had to snag this image of crazy Japanese custom vans...pink tentacle has more.

Check out The Hundreds new store in San Francisco

I love what The Hundreds have done with their new store, something new to get away from all those Japanese minimalist stores.  Check out their website for more.

Loveseat Trio, some pretty rad dudes, cop a CD!

Loveseat Trio in Denver rockin' hard...check 'em out on MySpace.

A little series too, plus one from last year

Skeleton is over a year old, the other four were a series in which I wanted to create scenarios that made people a little curious about what is going on.  Some seem obvious but there are other options that can be quite amusing...

Some new stuff

Just photographed some new shit from drawing class, nothing too exciting just thought I'd throw a few up there.

If y'all are Colorado haters, don't be...

I can't really complain about that, or 60 degree weather in January...

Another one from digital art history

Peep this nutty guy making all sorts of noises!

MSNBC thinks the opposite

MICROJETS!

the future of air travel?

AboveTopSecret.com was talking about this at some point and its just funny to look at, people are afraid of flying now, what if the planes were like this??  and what if one of these hit a city or crashed anywhere...nutty.

Nanowebbers/Semiconductor

Another gift from Schleiner in my Dig. Art History class.  This video is nuts but in that good kind of way, like when you want to talk to a homeless person for hours because of how crazy they are...kinda.  PEEP ME     AND ME

Peep the net artists at Dextro

I heard about this site in my Digital Art History class and really enjoyed some of it.  Check out the site at Dextro.org

this is FIRE!!!

The big brains at Safretti have some really cool ways of having fires in your home.  This is just one of many incredible designs they have available.

NET GUN!!!!!!

Rob & Big made let us know what was up with the net gun, and after a little research I found that it is quite pricey, but probably worth it.  Peep the site at China Grabber.

iPhone 2.0???

This patent image of Apple's new iPhone came from the guys at Gizmodo and seems to follow what many people have thought the next generation might look like.  Although we know Apple will have some sneaky tricks up their sleeve to make this just a little iller than the average flip phone.  Keep your eyes peeled and let me know if you hear anything new.

I'm on YouTube

It's nothing too impressive, but here is the only thing I have on YouTube.

Cool Flash Movie

Ive been playing with Flash recently and a teacher showed me THIS video, its pretty neat.

While on the artist thing...

Saw Tara Donovan at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in December/January and thought it was pretty cool.  Pins is a cube made of pins, this piece was not one that I saw and I wish it had been.  Not sure if it is solid, or magnetized...but I'm sure it's cool.  The bottom image is more similar to what was at the Met.  Made up of rolled metallic tape that reflects and blocks light in interesting ways.

Yayoi Kusama

These installations by Yayoi Kusama are pretty crazy, the bottom one made me think of Takashi Murakami's work, especially Superflat Monogram and other work he did for Louis Vuitton.  I saw some of Kusama's work somewhere recently, but now I can't remember where it was...MoMA?  Tate?  anyway...its dope.  Kanye is probably all over it.
