Fashion Week at Andre Balazs Standard Hotel
A party thrown by Interview Magazine and The Standard Hotel in New York was the place to be last week, and which socialite loving New York hipster was in attendance? None other than my little brother Haley "the deviant" Parkes. He is seen below with some other VERY important LA cool kids, Alessandra Balazs, Gered Williams, and Jamie Williams.
Others included Mary Kate Olsen, Taylor Momsen, Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, and many others. Props to guestofaguest.com

It is Fashion Week in New York right now and everyone is looking their best. Mr. West showed up to an event looking like my dad did in grade school...but FRESH.

Sovrappensiero
Two designers, Lorenzo de Rosa and Ernesto Iadevaia, make up Sovrappensiero.
They created this continuously re-lighting candle which looks like the teeth of a saw-blade but melts away over time.

This creative British designer has really come into the public view in the past couple of years, designing dresses used on magazine covers and worn by Kylie Minogue. Mr. West has more but here is a preview.
His designs are a mashup of past, present, and future with little wearability but incredible overall elements seen in the silhouettes or profile views.
